Mirzoyan and Lavrov Have Had a Phone Conversation
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, had a phone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, on August 2.
During the conversation, they discussed the implementation process of the high-level trilateral agreements reached on November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, and November 26. The commitment to comprehensively and effectively implement these agreements reaffirmed, particularly regarding the unblocking of transport and economic ties in the South Caucasus, delimitation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, and the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku.
In the context of bilateral relations, special attention was paid to the current state of Russian-Armenian ties and prospects for further enhancement, including the context of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's official visit to Russia on April 19-20 and the implementation of agreements reached during the CSTO summit on May 16.
Both sides positively highlighted the high level of cooperation between Yerevan and Moscow within the framework of general Eurasian integration structures. They also discussed plans for upcoming bilateral events.
