The United States Does Not Seek a ‘Cold War’ with China, Says Antony Blinken
The United States does not seek a ‘Cold War’ with China and is not trying to change China’s political system, nor will it challenge the role of the Chinese Communist Party in its governance. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the Indonesian island of Bali.
According to Reuters, during the more than five-hour-long negotiations, the heads of the foreign policy departments of the United States and China discussed various issues, including the situation in Ukraine and the relations between Beijing and Moscow.
This is Antony Blinken’s and Wang Yi’s first meeting since October 2021.
