We Must Provide Care Benefits to All Mothers with Children Under Two, Says Nikol Pashinyan
“Starting from January 1, 2023, we will have an increase in pensions and the minimum wage. The minimum wage is expected to rise from 68,000 drams to 75,000 drams. We should also increase the amount of childcare benefits for children under two years old; that is, the amount will rise from 28,600 drams to 30,700 drams. We need to provide care benefits to all mothers with children under two, regardless of whether they are from rural or urban areas, and whether they are employed or not. Additionally, for those employed in rural areas, we will continue to pay double the amount of this benefit, which means starting from January 1, they will receive a benefit of 61,400 drams,” said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting today.
