“Serzh Sargsyan acknowledged who the leader of the 'Resistance' is,” Kocharian

Addressing the actions of the opposition, Andranik Kocharian, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, stated during a press briefing with journalists in the National Assembly that they have gathered tents, and that’s good—who is stopping them, let them express a lack of confidence in Nikol Pashinyan.

“Gathering the tents was a crucial decision, and Serzh Sargsyan has essentially acknowledged that the 'Resistance' movement already has a leader—it's Ishkhan Saghatelyan,” Kocharian said.

The deputy noted that it is natural for them to present their decision to gather the tents as a victory. “In the victory, they also note that if they hadn’t been there, Armenia would have long been destroyed. That is not the case. We also say that Armenia needs unity, and the platform for unity is the National Assembly. Why did they flee from the National Assembly, why don’t they return?” Kocharian remarked.

He also mentioned that he would like the opposition to truly realize their important mission as an opposition. “But I would like them to actually become an opposition. The government needs an opposition,” Kocharian emphasized.
