Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti Announces Intent to Join NATO and EU

Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that his country intends to join NATO and the EU.

“Our ongoing cooperation strengthens Kosovo’s long-term commitment to peace, security, and NATO membership,” said Kurti. He welcomed the applications for EU membership from Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia and expressed hope that the EU will accept Pristina's membership application this year.

It is noteworthy that on May 12, Kosovo's authorities submitted an application for acceptance into the Council of Europe.
