CSTO Welcomes China's Desire to Expand Cooperation with the Organization

The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Stanislav Zas, stated in an interview with RT that the CSTO welcomes China's desire to expand cooperation with the organization. The media reports on this.

"Regarding China, yes, I have also heard that expression. We welcome it if there is a desire to cooperate with the CSTO, if there is such interest," he said.

Zas added that the CSTO and China have similar approaches on many issues related to the international agenda and security. He noted that China holds a balanced and independent position in global politics.

According to him, the CSTO is open to interaction and collaboration with China.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Li Zhanshu, stated that China is ready to contribute to cooperation with the CSTO.
