Kyiv Changes Its Stance, but Contract Draft Is Not Yet Ready: Medinsky
The head of the Russian delegation in negotiations with Ukraine, Vladimir Medinsky, an assistant to the President of Russia, stated that Kyiv has become more realistic regarding the issues of the country's neutral status and the absence of nuclear weapons.
“The Ukrainian side is showing a more realistic approach towards the country’s neutral status and the refusal to possess nuclear weapons; however, the contract draft is not yet ready for organizing a higher-level meeting,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Speaking about the contract draft, Medinsky emphasized that work on the document took place during online meetings on April 1 and 2, and will continue tomorrow, April 4.
