How Many Casualties Do the Russians Have? The US State Department Releases Its Calculations

The United States believes that the Russian side has suffered more than ten thousand casualties as part of the special military operation in Ukraine. This was stated by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland in an interview with currenttime.tv.

“Unfortunately, Russia still does not fully understand how strong the Ukrainian army is. The Russian side is experiencing incredible losses. According to our calculations, more than 10,000 Russians have been killed,” Nuland said.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine estimates the enemy's losses at 17,500 individuals. However, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the human losses on the Russian side during the operation do not exceed 1,400.

It is recalled that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the initiation of a special military operation to demilitarize Ukraine.
