30% of Ukrainian Enterprises Have Completely Stopped Operations, Says Sergey Nikolaychuk
30% of Ukrainian enterprises have completely ceased operations, while 45% have reduced production. This indicates that the economy has been crippled by just under 50%.
This was stated by Sergey Nikolaychuk, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, in an interview.
Currently, Ukraine's National Bank reserves are larger than they were before the war, thanks to financial support from the European Union, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank.
If the war prolongs and agricultural work in Ukraine fails, global prices for critical food items (particularly grains) could increase by 40-50% within a year.
