Kiev has entered a phase of defensive operations; the situation is complex. This was stated by Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko during a briefing, as reported by "Ukrainskaya Pravda."

"The city has entered a phase of defensive operations. Now gunfire and explosions are heard in several areas. Ukrainian soldiers are neutralizing Russian sabotage groups. Unfortunately, several of these groups have already entered Kiev. The enemy wants to bring the capital to its knees and destroy us," said Klitschko.

The mayor of Kiev noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are maintaining defense around the capital. "The situation is complex, but we believe in our armed forces. We support and help them," Klitschko concluded.
