The Possible Deployment of Nuclear Weapons in Belarus Will Not Go Unanswered by the EU - French Foreign Minister
The deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus would seriously affect the security situation and will not go unanswered by Europe. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche, as reported by TASS.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated to French President Emmanuel Macron in Moscow that the issue of deploying Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus is not being considered, and that after joint exercises, Russian troops will no longer be present in Belarus. I hope that at that time we will be able to say, ‘That's how it is.’ We shall see. Otherwise, it will lead to serious changes in the European security landscape, which will not go unanswered,” he emphasized.
