Stoltenberg: Ukraine Must Decide What It Wants
The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asserts that Ukraine has the right to decide whether or not to join the alliance and that the organization will not compromise on its fundamental principles. He made this statement in an interview with the German publication Die Zeit.
“NATO's doors remain open for Ukraine,” Stoltenberg stated. “Ukraine must decide what it wants,” he added.
“Russia has no veto power when it comes to the candidacy of NATO membership,” he emphasized. “We will never compromise when it comes to fundamental principles,” Stoltenberg concluded, as reported by TASS.
