US, UK, Canada and Other Countries Boycott Olympics Opening

On February 3, ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, leading US politicians and human rights advocates harshly criticized China's limitations on citizens' freedoms, ethnic cleansing in Tibet, and the suppression of democracy in Hong Kong.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi condemned the actions of the Chinese government. It is worth noting that the United States is not alone in this stance.

The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Denmark, and other countries have also boycotted the opening of the Olympics due to human rights violations in China. Today, the Winter Olympic Games are set to commence in Beijing, with the opening ceremony taking place at the National Stadium. Russian President Vladimir Putin has already arrived in Beijing.
