Araik Harutyunyan as President, Nairi Sargsyan as Chief of Staff
The ruling Civil Contract party has already identified its candidate for president. The selection has settled on Araik Harutyunyan, former head of the office of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (ESC). This decision has prompted personnel changes within the government.
Specifically, Nairi Sargsyan has been relieved of his duties as the Prime Minister's assistant. In the event of Araik Harutyunyan's resignation, he will assume the position of Chief of Staff.
The news outlet attempted to contact both Harutyunyan and Sargsyan for comments; however, neither responded to our phone calls.
