New Rules for Non-Resident Citizens Traveling to Russia

The Unified Social Service reports that, according to information disseminated by the Eurasian Economic Commission, new rules have been established for non-resident citizens traveling to the Russian Federation for the purpose of engaging in work activities:

1. Within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into the Russian Federation, citizens must undergo a one-time registration and fingerprinting.
2. Within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into the Russian Federation, citizens must undergo a medical examination for the presence or absence of drug or psychoactive substance use, the use of new potentially psychoactive dangerous substances without a doctor's prescription, and the presence of contagious diseases that threaten public safety, as outlined in the list approved by the Russian government, including diseases caused by the human immunodeficiency virus.
3. Medical examination results must be submitted regularly, directly to the local authorities or subordinate bodies in the Ministry of Internal Affairs through a unified electronic information platform.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the shortening of the temporary stay period in Russia for individuals.
