France's Foreign Ministry Statement on the Return of 10 Prisoners
The release of 10 Armenian prisoners by Baku is an important gesture. This statement was made by France's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to RIA Novosti.
“France welcomes the release of ten Armenian prisoners on December 19. This is an important gesture by Azerbaijan aimed at reducing tensions and restoring trust between the parties,” the French Foreign Ministry's statement said.
Paris also welcomed the EU's involvement in achieving this goal. “We will continue to encourage dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” the message added.
Recall that through the mediation of the European Union, another 10 servicemen were handed over to Armenia on December 19. They had been captured on November 16.
