The spokesperson for Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, Vahan Hunanyan, addressed the statement made by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, indicating that the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey may meet in the near future within the framework of the dialogue process between the two countries.
"In the event of an agreement on the timing of the meeting of special representatives within the dialogue process between Armenia and Turkey, the public will be duly informed," Hunanyan stated in an interview with Armenpress.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry had previously announced that the special representative for the Armenia-Turkey dialogue would be Ruben Rubinyan, the Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly. Earlier, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had declared that Ankara would appoint Serdar Kilic, the former ambassador of Turkey to Washington, as its special representative for normalizing relations with Armenia.
