Zakharyova on Russia's Position Regarding the '3+3' Format
During a weekly briefing, Maria Zakharyova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, responded to questions about the creation of a new platform for regional cooperation in the '3+3' format, noting that it can help address various issues.
“We support the proposal made by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey to establish a similar advisory mechanism in the region, which is called '3+3' (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Turkey, and Iran). Of course, we believe that the time has come to bring these projects to a practical level. Multilateral regional cooperation serves the interests of all the potential participants in this format. In our opinion, its launch will enhance trust, inter-state relations, and the resolution of existing disagreements while unveiling the region's transport and economic potential,” stated Zakharyova, adding that this format should address both existing issues and new challenges.
