‘The tundra is burning, Putin has very serious problems with the climate’: Peskov responds to Biden’s statement
The tundra is indeed burning, but forests are also burning in California, Turkey, and other parts of the world. Climate change is an issue that everyone faces. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, on November 3.
According to iz.ru, he responded to Biden's statement that 'the tundra in Russia is literally burning and that President Vladimir Putin has very serious problems with the climate, but remains silent about any desire to do something'.
“The tundra is indeed burning. But let’s not forget that forests are also burning in California, Turkey, and other countries around the world. These are climate changes that we are all facing. Russia faces more challenges than others. Russia maintains a responsible position; we have developed work in many directions. Most likely, this has not been reported to the U.S. president when he said that,” Peskov said.
