Iran's Foreign Minister Discusses Details of the Country's Foreign Diplomacy
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian emphasized that the Islamic Republic's diplomatic apparatus will not tie the fate of the country and the Iranian people to the 2015 nuclear agreement or any foreign state, as mutual interests are considered the standard for cooperation, according to IRNA agency.
The senior Iranian diplomat stated that Tehran has established a noble mechanism to pursue the implementation of the regional cooperation slogan, adding that the Islamic Republic will resist the United States' anti-Iranian propaganda campaign.
He continued by stating that President Ebrahim Raisi's administration has outlined key terms of foreign policy, including a balanced foreign policy as well as active, smart, and dynamic diplomacy.
The Islamic Republic prioritizes relations with neighboring countries and Asian nations, he said, adding that Tehran will pursue dynamic diplomacy regarding Europe, stressing that Latin America and Africa will not be forgotten.
Regarding balance, he noted that Tehran's 13th administration aims to maintain equilibrium in relations with the East and the West, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic will not tie all its foreign policy issues to China and Russia while prioritizing Asia-oriented foreign policy.
The Islamic Republic remains committed to its slogan of “Neither East nor West” when dealing with external powers, he stated.
