Will the Heads of Foreign Affairs, National Security, and Defense Attend the Closed Discussion on the Situation at the Border?

Today at 14:30, a closed-door urgent discussion will commence in the Parliament on the topic entitled “The Situation at the Line of Contact between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and Issues of Border Demarcation.” The main speaker will be Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the ‘I Have Honor’ parliamentary group.

Both opposition factions in the National Assembly have demanded that the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, and the Director of the National Security Service appear before Parliament. According to 168.am, it has been clarified that the commander of the border troops of the NSS and the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces will be present at the closed discussion.

There is currently no confirmation regarding the attendance of Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, the Defense Minister, or the NSS director, but opposition MPs believe they will not attend the discussion.
