Peskov on Upcoming Trilateral Meeting: Official Clarification
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, has commented on information regarding upcoming negotiations between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“If such an agreement is reached, we will inform you in a timely manner,” he stated.
Previously, the agency had reported, citing its sources, that a trilateral meeting involving Vladimir Putin, Nikol Pashinyan, and Ilham Aliyev could take place in early November in Moscow. According to the same sources, the negotiations aim to sign trilateral statements.
It is worth recalling that the previous meeting between Putin, Pashinyan, and Aliyev occurred in Moscow in January of this year. As a result of nearly four hours of talks, a trilateral statement was adopted, primarily concerning the implementation of the ninth point of the November 9, 2020 statement regarding the unblocking of all economic and transport connections in the region.
