Deputy Police Chief on Reports of Armenian Citizen Fined by Azerbaijanis
The Armenian police have no information regarding reports that Azerbaijani law enforcement fined an Armenian citizen on the Goris-Kapan highway in Syunik Province. This was stated by Deputy Police Chief Ara Fidanyan during a session of the Defense and Security Permanent Commission of the National Assembly on October 19, in response to a question from opposition 'Armenia' bloc MP Gegham Manukyan.
According to the Deputy Police Chief, if such an incident did indeed occur, it is necessary to immediately inform the relevant authorities. 'And also inform us because this is the first time we are hearing about it,' Fidanyan emphasized.
In response, Manukyan mentioned that the citizen fined by Azerbaijani forces has contacted the opposition. 'I will definitely give you his contact information,' Manukyan said.
