"Under Aliyev's Discontent Lies a Very Important Subtext for Armenia": Arthur Ghazinyan
Member of the "Armenia" faction, Arthur Ghazinyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Iran demands that Azerbaijan free the Goris-Kapan highway. Aliyev complains, saying that if the Armenians accept that this (the 21 km stretch of the Goris-Kapan road) is Azerbaijani territory, what does he want from him?
The first impression is that this is a behavior and rhetoric from Nikol Pashinyan legitimizing Azerbaijani aggression, which Aliyev is using to counter the demands placed before him. It has been discussed and written extensively that changing the border of Armenia's northeastern line is a crime, and even a report about the crime has been submitted to the Prosecutor General with zero results.

And this demand has apparently been put forth by Iran, for whom this highway holds strategic significance in order to ensure an uninterrupted exit to the north.
In fact, by Nikol's decision, this road was handed over to Azerbaijan back in December of last year, and Iran must work three times as hard to free its northern exit from the Azerbaijanis.
P.S. There is an old Armenian saying: one fool throws a stone into the gorge, a hundred wise men cannot remove the stone from the gorge..."
