The Incident Involving the Bus Transporting the ‘Mountainous Artsakh’ Team is a Classic Example of Terrorism – Lusine Garakhanian

Lusine Garakhanian, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Artsakh, wrote on her Facebook page: “Today, I met with the ‘Mountainous Artsakh’ youth football team. The incident involving the bus transporting the ‘Mountainous Artsakh’ youth team is a classic example of terrorism. This was an opportunity to relive and feel the horror of Beslan. Moreover, defacing the symbol of Artsakh is yet another proof of the growing hatred towards Armenians.

Sports should not be politicized, and certainly not subjected to terrorism. Our athletes did not succumb to the provocations of the Turkish terrorist. They will continue to conquer the boundaries of goodness, victory, strength, and self-overcoming through sports. By the way, the team is the champion of the Armenian youth football championship for the 2020-2021 seasons, and they achieved second place in the competition of youth football from 16 countries held this year in Leipzig, Germany. No to terrorism.”
