The Key Word at the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border is Ours: Aliyev

The President of Azerbaijan has made another absurd statement during his visit to the Kelbajar and Lachin regions. He stated, "The key word at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is ours. This is natural and will be so. Regarding this issue, sometimes certain foreign circles utter inadequate thoughts. We are positioned where we find it necessary, and if this disturbs or irritates someone, as they say, let them go and drink some water."

He declared that they are reinforcing the state border towards Kelbajar and Lachin. "This border was in the hands of Armenians for almost 30 years, and in May, when the snow melted, we seized our positions and established ourselves in Zangezur. This is our land. The thoughts emanating from the Armenian side are absolutely unfounded; we are on our own land. We are standing in the right place, where we find it necessary to be, and we will continue to remain if we find it necessary. No one should forget this. For this reason, along the entire length of the border from Muravdagh to the Araz River, border infrastructure and military units are being built through the Ministry of Defense and border troops, we are reinforcing ourselves in these borders," said Aliyev.
