Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu 'Summoned' by Ukrainian Security Service

In Ukraine, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has been 'summoned' by the Ukrainian Security Service as part of 'investigative actions.' This was reported by RT, referencing the Ukrainian publication 'Glavkom,' which presented a document signed by investigator Taras Butenko from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

According to the aforementioned document, the Russian minister is required to appear in Mariupol on July 20 in connection with a case regarding the 'creation of illegal armed groups.' Similar actions by Ukrainian law enforcement also took place in 2016. At that time, former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko announced that his office had opened a criminal case against the Russian Defense Minister and 17 other Russian officials. In September, a court in Kyiv's Pechersk district issued a detention order for Sergey Shoigu.
