Video: Daughter of Arrested Kapan Mayor Appeals to the International Community

The daughter of the arrested Kapan mayor, Luiza Paramazyan, has addressed the international community.

"My father is a political prisoner. A few days ago, like many other people in my country, they arrested my father," she said.

"The only reason is that he refused to accept the regime that is currently governing our country. During the last 44-day war, my father defended our borders. He fought until the end. And what did we get in return? The authorities issued an illegal order to arrest my father, believing that this way they could force him into silence."

"I want to appeal to the international community because I no longer feel safe in my country. I want my family to be together again. I want my country to be united again. But for now, I need your attention," she added.
