We Will Have to Wear Masks for a Long Time, Says Georgian Health Deputy Minister
The epidemiological situation in Georgia truly demands attention, with approximately 1,000 cases of coronavirus infection reported this week, which is certainly worthy of notice. This was stated by Tamar Gabuniya, the Deputy Minister of Health of Georgia, during a press briefing, as reported by Georgia Online.
According to her, if vaccination does not spread quickly and the regulations are not followed, the risks associated with potential new strains will be high. “The epidemiological situation really requires attention; we are seeing about 1,000 new cases this week, which, of course, requires our attention. We will not be able to abandon wearing masks for a long time. We all need to understand this and follow the rules. Another solution is the rapid implementation of the vaccination program. If vaccinations do not spread quickly, and we do not adhere to the rules, the risks will be high with emerging new strains,” stated Gabuniya.
