Ibrahim Raisi Wins Iran Presidential Elections
The head of Iran's judiciary, Ibrahim Raisi, is leading in the presidential elections held in the Islamic Republic, according to preliminary voting results reported by RT. The information was shared by the head of the election headquarters, Jamal Orf.
“Raisi has gathered 17.8 million votes,” he stated. It is noted that a total of 28.6 million citizens participated in the elections. Orf clarified that the vote counting is still ongoing. The final results will be announced by the head of Iran's Ministry of Interior.
Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani declared that the winner of the presidential elections is already known in the country but did not specify their name.
