Commanders of Meghri and Mehrabi Brigades Dismissed from Their Positions: Mkhtiar Zakaryan

The commander of the Meghri Brigade, Argam Gevorgyan, has been dismissed from his position. This was reported by Mkhtiar Zakaryan from Meghri, who noted that the presumed reason for the dismissal is political.

“He was not dancing to Nikol’s tune, and several times there were 'explanatory works' conducted with him. I have cooperated effectively with him for the benefit of our army and homeland, but they attributed it to personal friendship and did not allow us to interact, which we agreed to. He is one of our army's best officers, having excellently fulfilled all of his assigned tasks; we have been injured together during the war,” he said.

According to Zakaryan, there was no reason to dismiss the best commander due to petty political motives. “This speaks about their value system,” he added. Zakaryan also mentioned that Artak Tadevosyan, the commander of the Mehrabi Brigade, has also been dismissed from his position.
