“It’s a matter of hours to make a decision”: Seyran Ohanyan
The former Minister of Defense, Seyran Ohanyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “Those who say ‘we will not start military operations for 30% of Lake Sevan’ have minds that are half buried in snow for half the year and are actually hardly functioning at 30%. The enemy is firing, killing our soldiers, and taking our soldiers captive, while we remain silent; this is unacceptable!
Today, if allowed, and if the correct personnel policy is implemented, I believe that the Army is capable of independently solving its problems if they are not hindered. Making a decision is a matter of hours. Equipping a position is a matter of a day. Conducting replenishment is a matter of days. And ultimately, creating minimal conditions for defense is a matter of a week. Instead of one week, six weeks have passed, but no decision has been made.
Defeated authorities will always be under dictation and coercion; they must undoubtedly be changed so that new authorities can boldly and vigorously begin the negotiation process and force the enemy to stop, to remove Azerbaijanis from our territories.”
