We Are Completely Blocked, What Is Left Here? A Conversation with a Resident of Khndzoresk from Tert.am
"A little land is given here, a little there, we don’t know what our Government is doing." This is what Maxim Arushanyan, a resident of Khndzoresk, said in a conversation with Tert.am, discussing the issues that have arisen in Syunik.
“We are completely blocked, what is left here? We had expected that our side would push them out and that our lands would remain with us. Our Government should think about preserving our lands; negotiations have been ongoing for several days, but there is no result,” he stated.
According to the resident, the Government's attention is focused on other issues, but he believes that first and foremost, the army should be a priority. “People are sleeping in the fields and standing at the posts, but as far as I know, they still haven’t received their February salaries. A part of the Black Lake has been given to them, as far as we know. The people are in confusion; we don’t understand, they talk about the past ones, but they don’t see what they are doing. What are they doing?” he said, adding that at this moment, the farmer is endangered because the Government is not taking clear actions.
