NSS Statement on Information Regarding Ongoing Clashes in Syunik

The National Security Service of Armenia officially informs that the information disseminated through mass media and social networks regarding the clashes that have started and are ongoing in the Syunik region does not correspond to reality.

Considering the concerns raised in the public due to the dissemination of such information, the NSS strictly warns against spreading disinformation, inciting panic among the population, and igniting unnecessary tensions, noting that such phenomena will have corresponding legal consequences with the application of the strictest measures.

The national security agencies again urge individuals to refrain from spreading unofficial and unverified information and to rely solely on official news sources.
