Red Market has been and will remain under our control: Vitaly Balasanyan
The village of Red Market in the Martuni region of Artsakh remains and will continue to remain under the control of Artsakh. This was assured by the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Vitaly Balasanyan, in an interview with a correspondent of Sputnik Armenia. Earlier, the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, had stated that during negotiations, Azerbaijan had tried at all costs to take control of the Red Market in the Martuni region. This desire persists even after the war.
“Everything that has been under our control since November 9-10 remains under the control of the Defense Army and other equalized forces. There is no such political decision. The Red Market has been, remains, and will continue to be under the control of the Republic of Artsakh,” Balasanyan stated.
Speaking about the situation along the actual line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh, Balasanyan noted that there have been numerous provocations from the Azerbaijani side, which continue.
