The World Must Recognize the Right to Self-Determination of the People of Artsakh: Mirzoyan

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, reiterated the position of the Republic of Armenia that the world must recognize the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh.

This statement was made by Mirzoyan during a session of parliament, responding to the fact that Azerbaijanis are distorting the Ghazanchetsots Church in Shusha under the guise of "renovation work."

"I believe that this barbarism, the treatment of Armenians held in Azerbaijan, and the disgraceful opening of the 'park' a few weeks ago, indicate that the safe existence of the Armenian population of Artsakh within Azerbaijan is impossible, and the world must recognize the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh," Mirzoyan said.
