Will Robert Kocharian Seek Revenge in Artsakh if He Comes to Power? He Responds
Former President of Armenia Robert Kocharian discussed the territorial issues of Nagorno-Karabakh and the negotiation process during an interview with Pozner.
“Everything is not lost; there is still an opportunity to discuss the territories that were once part of the former NKR. I think this is a very complex process regarding what the status will be, etc., but nevertheless, I believe there is some perspective,” he said.
When addressing the possibility of revenge should he come to power, Kocharian pointed out that the Armenian army is currently in a situation where the idea of revenge cannot even cross the mind of any sober-thinking person.
“But a very unjust world cannot exist for long and forever. Therefore, we must consider the situation from the perspective of how much we want to end the conflict and find a solution that will be fair,” Kocharian stated.
It is noteworthy that the former president has recently reiterated that he will participate if elections are held in Armenia. Today, he announced that he will participate in the elections with a coalition of parties.
