Russian Resident Sets Wife on Fire During Domestic Dispute
A resident of Bashkortostan (Bashkiria), Russia, poured gasoline on his wife and set her ablaze during a family dispute. According to reports from RIA Novosti, the woman suffered burns to 80% of her body and died in the hospital, while the man was hospitalized for poisoning from the burning fumes.
The incident occurred in the city of Beloretsk. The 63-year-old man got into a fight with his 63-year-old wife over domestic issues and subsequently burned her. Before the incident, the woman managed to call her relatives and request them to contact the police. Upon arriving at the scene, the police opened the door to the house and called for emergency assistance.
Despite the medical help provided, the woman succumbed to her injuries later that evening in the hospital. It has been reported that the man has been charged with murder with particular cruelty.
