VIDEO. Opposition Blocks Parliament Building, Tensions High on Baghramyan
The unified candidate of the Homeland Salvation Movement, Vazgen Manukyan, instructed to block all entrances to the National Assembly during his speech at a rally on Baghramyan Avenue today, demanding that MPs be prevented from entering or exiting.
“We need only one job from them. Gather and demand the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan,” said Manukyan.
He announced that the opposition would also set up tents near the other entrances of the National Assembly and would keep the parliament under blockade until their demands were met.
After Manukyan's statement, the gathered crowd moved towards Demirchyan Street, attempting to close off the parliament's entrance. However, police did not allow this and began to detain participants of the demonstration.
