I Made It Clear to Putin That Those Days Are Over: Biden

U.S. President Joe Biden has stated that he warned Russian President Vladimir Putin that the days when the United States "bent to Russia's aggression" are over.

“I made it clear to Putin, in a completely different way than my predecessor, that those days are over when the United States bent to Russia's aggressive actions, such as interference in our elections, cyberattacks, and the poisoning of our own citizens,” Biden said during a speech at the State Department.

“America is back. Diplomacy is back,” he added. “We must embrace a new moment of accelerating global challenges, from pandemics to climate crises and the spread of nuclear weapons, which can only be resolved by countries working together for a common cause.”

“This must begin with diplomacy based on America's most sacred democratic values — defending freedom, defending opportunities, defending universal rights, respect for the rule of law, and treating every person with dignity,” he remarked.
