Court Rejects Robert Kocharian's Defense Attorneys' Motion
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction (Shengavit residence), presided over by Judge Anna Danibekyan, has rejected the motions of the defense attorneys of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharian, Yuri Khachaturov, Seyran Ohanyan, and Armen Gevorgyan, to disqualify the prosecuting attorneys, including Chief Prosecutor Artur Davtyan.
As a result, Prosecutors Gevorg Baghdasaryan, Petros Petrosyan, and Chief Prosecutor Artur Davtyan will not be removed from the proceedings of the alleged overthrow of the constitutional order and will continue to uphold the indictment.
It should be noted that in their motions, the defense attorneys presented arguments regarding the impartiality of the Chief Prosecutor and other prosecutors.
The next court session in this case is scheduled for February 2 at 1:00 PM.
