We are ready for snap elections, let him resign, and the parliament disperse. Marukyan
The ruling power, the "My Step" alliance, has not learned any lessons from this situation and does not understand what has happened in the country at all. This was stated by the leader of the Bright Armenia party, Edmon Marukyan, after the meeting of the permanent commission on legal and state issues, referring to the negative conclusions on two proposals they had presented.
It should be noted that among other issues, the proposals from the Bright Armenia party included a call for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation and discussions on the issue of prisoners of war.
“In my impression, this was a meeting from January 2019,” Marukyan emphasized, adding, “I see that this situation has not changed anything in these people.”
Regarding the question about the nomination of former military prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan to the CCBA position, Marukyan did not respond, saying that he would address this issue after the meeting.
As for the issue of prisoners, Marukyan stated, “Instead of shouting all over the world, they say let’s not talk about that. I want to understand, are we in the Parliament or in a kindergarten?”
Marukyan also addressed the ruling power's offer to hold snap elections, saying, “We are ready for snap elections tomorrow as well, let him resign, and the parliament disperse.”
