Azerbaijan Displays Criminal Behavior Regarding Prisoners of War
Azerbaijan exhibits destructive and even criminal behavior regarding prisoners of war. This was stated by the head of the Artsakh President's Office and former Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.
The head of the presidential office announced that due to Azerbaijan's stance, the fate of many of our compatriots, including soldiers and civilians, remains uncertain. The fates of others are known: they have been thrown into Azerbaijani prisons, and the authorities of this country either deny their captivity or attempt to present them as terrorists.
“Such actions violate all known principles of international law,” emphasized Artak Beglaryan. According to human rights defenders, the abduction of over a hundred Armenians, including women, has been confirmed. However, there are indirect indications that the number of captives is several times larger.
