14 Soldiers' Remains Retrieved from Zangelan as Search and Rescue Operations Continue
Rescue teams in Artsakh are conducting search operations on January 11 in areas affected by combat actions, including the upper regions of Askeran (Sghnakh), Martuni, Hadrut, Mekhakavan (Jabrayil), and Vorotan (Kubatly). Hunan Tadevosyan, head of the information and public relations department of the Artsakh emergency situations service, informed "Armenpress" that search teams will simultaneously work in all locations to look for any potential hidden individuals.
“The day before, search teams entered Kovsakan (Zangelan) in the Syunik region and retrieved the remains of 14 soldiers. In total, as a result of these search operations, 1211 remains of soldiers and civilians have been found to date,” Tadevosyan detailed.
