Video: Syunik Police Chief Prevents Mother of Deceased from Traveling to Yerevan for DNA Test and Identifying Son's Body - Melikyan
The head of the Syunik Police, Alik Hakobyan, prevented the mother of a deceased individual from traveling to Yerevan to take a DNA test and identify her son's body. This was reported by Ruben Melikyan, co-founder of the NGO 'Legal Way,' who also shared a video on his Facebook page.
In the video, the woman states, 'My child died on October 3, and until today there is no body. Now I need to bring the analysis; how can I go? They called from Yerevan, saying there are bodies, come provide DNA, how can I go find my child now? She has four children, one of whom is serving in 'Yeghnikner.'
In response, Alik Hakobyan remarks, 'I apologize, dear mother, I cannot answer your question. No one will pass through by car.'
