Roads Closed and Impassable in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and impassable roads in Armenia.
The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region are closed. The area known as 'Meghri Mountain' in the Syunik region is impassable. Snow is currently falling in the Syunik region.
In the Shirak region, there is black ice reported in the communities of Amasia and Ashotsk.
According to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to information from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. This ban does not apply to freight transport.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
