Unemployed Citizens of Artsakh Can Intern and Receive Monthly Support of 100,000 Dram
The government approved a support initiative during its meeting on December 17, aimed at providing employment opportunities for unemployed citizens of Artsakh who have been displaced due to the recent war and are currently in Armenia.
The proposal was presented by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan, who noted that this program specifically targets Artsakh residents who lived in areas now outside of Artsakh's control.
“The initiative allows unemployed individuals to intern with employers for up to three months, during which they will receive 100,000 dram in compensation. Additionally, those facilitating the internship process at the workplace will receive support amounting to 34,000 dram,” stated the minister. “Beneficiaries of the program can apply through employment agencies.”
The funds allocated for compensation under this support initiative will be transferred to the employer's bank account. The provision of support will cease if an employment contract is established with the beneficiary.
