Mayor Hayk Marutyan Considers Bonuses Inappropriate from September, Spokesperson
The spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, shared on Facebook: "Media outlets are reporting that there was a 'rebellion' in the city hall today demanding the mayor's resignation. The reality is as follows: Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, taking into account the situation caused by the pandemic and the war, does not find it appropriate to apply bonuses from this September.
A group of city hall employees gathered in the corridor today after learning that there would be no year-end bonuses, demanding that the bonuses be distributed. Since the mayor was not present at the time of the gathering (he had gone to Tavush), the secretary of the mayor's office suggested that the discussion continue tomorrow in the presence of the mayor."
