We Have Lost Hin Tagher, There are Both Azerbaijanis and Armenians in Khtsaberd: Hadrut District Head
The head of the Hadrut district of the Artsakh Republic, Kamo Petrosyan, discussed the situation in the villages of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd in an interview with a Sputnik Armenia correspondent.
According to him, the village of Hin Tagher is completely under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces. As for Khtsaberd, on one side of the village are Azerbaijanis, while on the other side are Armenian servicemen. There are also Russian peacekeepers in the village, who are still conducting negotiations.
“I cannot say what the Russians will specifically decide. At this moment, the Armenian soldiers are holding positions in Khtsaberd, and the Russian peacekeepers are there as well,” he said.
Petrosyan does not yet have information about the health status of the six wounded on the Armenian side, stating that communication is very poor. As for whether the Armenian side has captives after the enemy's attack, Petrosyan finds it difficult to say. “It is a very mixed situation; I cannot say,” he noted.
Recall that yesterday the Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported that the Azerbaijani side had launched offensive operations toward two villages in the Hadrut region—Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd.
