Video: Azerbaijani Troop Buildup in the Mountains near Jermuk for a New Military Base
"Faktinfo" has obtained a video showing how a significant number of Azerbaijani troops are accumulating along the yet-to-be-defined Armenian-Azerbaijani border, reportedly in Kelbajar, in the mountains near Jermuk, for the purpose of constructing a military base.
The video reveals dozens of Kamaz trucks lined up, while several kilometers away, the Armenian side is monitoring all activities of the Azerbaijani military. Residents of Jermuk are raising alarms that a new military base is to be built just a few kilometers from their town, meaning Jermuk has become a border community, prompting concerns over their security.
In response to a question from "Faktinfo," a representative of the Armenian Ministry of Defense stated that it is normal for the Azerbaijani side to construct military bases in its territory, as the same is being done by the Armenian Armed Forces, who are also building new bases and digging trenches.
“From the same perspective of security, if an attempt is made, it becomes a matter for the Armenian Armed Forces, and any such attempt will receive a firm response,” said the representative of the Ministry of Defense.
